In early August, our editorial staff will be
publishing the biographical profiles of 230 Highly Cited Researchers
in the Computer Sciences category. Although 18 countries are
represented, the United States comprises nearly 75 percent of the
category as featured in ISIHighlyCited.com.
Broad in its scope, the Computer Sciences category
represents individuals published in a myriad of journals involving
computer software, computer hardware and architecture, software
engineering and design, interdisciplinary computer applications and
computing methodologies, among other computing topics. Researchers
affiliated with this discipline may also work on the technical
aspects of information systems/technology including the acquisition,
processing, storage, management and the dissemination of
information, as well as those associated with communications by way
of various devices and systems.
A small percentage of researchers in this category

mathematics, physics, and engineering.
